Over the last four months the Board of Trustees of Cockle Bay School has worked through the process of selecting and appointing a replacement Principal following the announcement of Graeme Lomas' retirement back in Term 1. The school engaged with and utilised the services of an external education consultancy who have guided and provided support to the Board as part of this process. The quality of leadership and teaching practice of applicants was very high. On behalf of the Board I am pleased to advise that Dorothy Bigwood has accepted the position as new Principal for Cockle Bay School. Dorothy is currently the Principal at Bucklands Beach Primary School and has the range of skills and experiences that will further enhance Cockle Bay School and build on the current school culture of high community expectations supported by our core beliefs in the Cockle Bay 4CS.
