What is Daffodil Day?
The Cancer Society of New Zealand’s provides for many cancer sufferers. Daffodil Day symbolises hope for the 1 in 3 New Zealanders affected by cancer. Many people from across the country have been inspired to support the Cancer Society’s work contributing their time and money. They help to raise awareness of cancer in New Zealand. Daffodil Day is the main funding source for the Cancer Society.
The Daffodil Day ceremony at Cockle Bay School was huge success as the coins were being handed in they were placed carefully on the ground to make the shape of a daffodil. Cockle Bay students raised a total of $1,285.10! Below are some photographs of the morning ceremony.
