Gymnastics Teams On Wednesday, the 15th August, the gymnastic teams represented the school at the Eastern Zone Primary Gymnastics Competition. Cockle Bay School had 51 perfectly behaved gymnasts at the event, which was held at the Howick Community Centre. The teams were formed during Term 2 and the children practiced during their lunch times. This year they were coached by Miss Hatton/Mrs Saher, Mrs Casey, Mrs Stansfield and Mrs de Groot.. We did very well at this year’s event with the following children going forward to represent the school at the Champion or Champion’s Event in Waitakere. Congratulations to:  Sophie S, Amy O - 2nd= Year 5 Sophie S, Amy O, Kimberley G, Abby T, Olivia M - 1st Team Year 5  Ashleigh R - 1st, Year 3 Ashleigh R, Hayley M, Victoria M, Cailin A - 2nd Team Year 3  Champions of Champions Event Both teams were a credit to the school in their dress, manners and sportsmanship.
