Wow! Dan and John was by far the funniest and motivating school activity ever! Dan and John was about motivating us and believing that nothing is impossible. We learnt some awesome art skills about how to draw cartoons. We drew a cartoon face and then drew an object around it such as an apple, a cup or a tennis ball. Dan and John was awesome!

Bridge Walk
Written by Merle Campbell
On Wednesday 25th August the whole school made a 3 hour trip around Lloyd Elsmore Park and then out to Ormiston Bridge as part of the theme week "Building Bridges". This was a chance for the children to work with their "Buddy Class".
Key concepts for the Bridge Theme Week were
A bridge is a structure that allows people or vehicles to cross an obstacle
Forces are pushes and pulls
A structure is something designed so that forces acting upon it are balanced and it is able to carry a load
To build collaborative skills while working together in a small team
Ready, Set, Go! As the children started running mud went everywhere. Yes, the cross country had begun, the sporting event we had all been training hard for. After the race everybody was redfaced, from their extreme perserverence. Well done to all the students who made it through to the zone cross country.

Chess Finals
Written by Cameron G
Battle against Point View is not as easy as it looks
but with a win 3/1 Cockle Bay take second place along
with four silver medals.
It was a huge disappointment last year when Cockle Bay
lost to Mellons Bay Primary by half a point.
Cameron, Bovey ,Catherine and Don thank Mr Booth for coaching them.
