Meet the Teachers' orientation evening Thank you to everyone who attended our recent Parent Information Evening. I hope you found it both informative and interesting. There was a great turnout! For those parents who were unable to attend the evening please contact your child's teacher if you have any questions. Please check our website for further information on school routines and requirements and the school calendar. http://www.cocklebay.school.nz Parking Around the School Parking is an issue at CBS as it is in many schools. Please note the Auckland Transport Travelwise advice below It is everyone's responsibility to keep our kid's safe Keep our children safe ... and park safe. Please play your part · Always observe the parking restrictions near the school · Always use the school patrol crossing · Choose safety over convenience at all times · Walk with your child, or join a Walking School Bus Particular problems for CBS include · Howick College and the local shop parking used for dropping off/collecting children. · Queuing for the parks outside the school, resulting in stopping the roundabout traffic • Waiting for children at 3pm at the ‘Kiss and Go' turnaround, rather than moving on through. This causes double parking and risks for children · Stopping on yellow lines or double parking on roads outside the school · Staff parking spaces used by parents when there is a shortfall of spaces for staff The Police do monitor parking outside schools and we do not want you to be issued with an infringement notice, so please be considerate and follow the rules. |
