Parents Waiting in the Junior School
We would like to ask parents who wait outside classrooms
for their children after school to wait on the turf beside the sandpit
until the bell goes. Once the bell has rung you are welcome to walk to your
child's classroom to meet them.
It is very distracting for young children when parents
are talking and waving at the windows outside the classrooms.
Conversations, including cell phone conversations can be heard through the
walls.
Our children are learning to be independent at school.
This is difficult for them to achieve with the distractions outside. Our
school day finishes at 3pm and whilst we understand that parents need to
arrive early (some at 2.15pm) this is still part of our prime learning
time.
