Class placements for 2024

Teachers will soon be planning classes for next year. Cockle Bay will be organising next year’s classes so that there is a range of abilities in every class, a balance of genders and ethnicities, and students with special needs (academic, health, compatibility with peers/teacher and behaviour) are placed carefully across each year level. We aim for each student to have at least one friend in their class.

If your child has specific needs that you ask us to consider during the formation of class lists, you are invited to complete a form to assist us. Please note that this is NOT an opportunity to choose your child’s teacher, nor friends, for 2024. You should speak to Mrs Rivett (Years 1-3), Mrs Rossiter (Years 4-6), or Mrs Stansfield (Special Needs) about this request as well, so they have a complete understanding of your request.
